More than 300 clergy gather in the Ferguson, MO police department parking lot, holding vigil with song and prayer for four and a half hours in remembrance of the time Mike Brown’s body lay in the street.
Propped up by the arms of strangers, Minister Elle Down recovers from having been pushed to the ground while in prayer by a police officer with his riot shield, gathered with more than 300 clergy in the parking lot of the Ferguson police department.
A memorial is formed in the front yard of 18-year-old Vonderrit Myers Jr., killed by an off-duty St. Louis police officer on October 8, 2014, just months after the killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO.
